Alexis Ellicott Alexis Ellicott
Alexis Ellicott is a food security and agricultural input specialist with 14 years of direct experience in agricultural project management and technical assistance. She is the chief of party for the Cambodia HARVEST II Project, a key part of USAID’s Feed the Future program.

Before joining Abt, Alexis was the chief of party (COP) of the USAID Agro-Inputs Project in Bangladesh, where she was the key liaison between USAID/Bangladesh and Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA). The project’s goals were improving the knowledge and availability of quality of agricultural inputs – seed, fertilizer and pesticides – through support to more than 3,000 agro-input enterprises in the Feed the Future zone.

Prior to that, Alexis held a number of leadership positions with Chemonics International, including:
  • COP for the USAID/Bangladesh Poverty Reduction by Increasing the Competitiveness of Enterprises (PRICE) project;
  • Food security director on the USAID/Nepal Agriculture Economic and Trade (NEAT) Activity; and
  • Deputy COP for the West Africa Seed Alliance (WASA) project in Ghana and Mali.

In addition to field work, Alexis has also contributed to DC-based management on projects in Central Asia and West Africa, as well as to global business development efforts.

Ellicott holds a Master’s in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Purdue University, a Bachelor’s in biological science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor’s in Russian from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
