Phyllis Jones-Changa Phyllis Jones-Changa
Phyllis Jones-Changa, a senior infectious disease advisor at Abt, is a public health professional with more than 30 years of experience designing, overseeing, and managing reproductive health, child survival, maternal health, HIV and AIDS, capacity building, social mobilization, and communication projects in both domestic and international settings.

Jones-Changa has been a successful fundraiser with USAID, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, UNICEF, the United Nations Development Programme, and various foundations. She has more than 20 years of long-term residency in Africa.

Before joining Abt, Jones-Changa was the Nigeria country director/chief of party for FHI 360, overseeing their operations there and managing the FHI 360 portfolio, which included the Strengthening Integrated Delivery of HIV/AIDS Services, a $333 million PEPFAR-funded, USAID project.

Prior to that, Jones-Changa was a Chief of Party for AED, where she focused on the development and management of public health projects in HIV and AIDS service delivery, Avian Influenza awareness and social mobilization, and capacity building of non-governmental organizations.  Before that Jones-Changa was a country representative in Malawi, Zambia, and South Africa for Africare, responsible for all aspects of the Africare mission in those countries.

Jones-Changa holds an MPH from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a B.A. in Geography from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
