John J. O’Connor is former vice chairman of services for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Prior to his retirement in 2006, O’Connor was responsible for the firm’s business lines, with combined revenues of $7 billion and 28,000 employees in 90 offices. He was a partner at the firm for 24 years of his 33-year career there.
Over the course of his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, O'Connor served as the leader of the firm’s U.S. audit practice. Prior to this, he was the managing partner of the firm’s Boston office. He also served as the International Liaison for the firm’s Korean and Japanese offices, where he was responsible for overseeing their integration into the practice.
O’Connor serves on several corporate and non-profit boards, including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Harvard Medical Collaborative.
O’Connor holds a B.A. from Suffolk University in Boston and an executive MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He also graduated from the Harvard Business School's Leadership in Professional Service Firms program.
