Stanley J. Lukowski
Stanley J. Lukowski is Chairman Emeritus and retired CEO of Eastern Bank Corporation — a position he held from 1992 until his retirement in 2006. Under his direction, Eastern Bank grew to become the largest independent commercial bank in New England, with 72 branches and assets of more than $6 billion. A 30-year Eastern Bank veteran, he was previously employed by Arthur Andersen in Hartford, Connecticut, and the Boston office of Kidder, Peabody and Company.
Lukowski is a dedicated leader actively involved with community groups on the North Shore and in Boston. He serves as a director of the Massachusetts Housing Partnership, Chairman of Partners Continuing Care, and past Chairman of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, where he continues as a Trustee and member of the Executive Committee. He is a member of the Compensation and Nominating committees and a past member of the Audit committee of Partners HealthCare System.
He was a director of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of its Housing Task Force. He was also an overseer of the Peabody/Essex Museum and the YMCA of Greater Boston, and is Chairman of the Board of Overseers of the North Shore Medical Center.
Lukowski holds a B.S. degree from Villanova University and a Masters in Business from Columbia University.
