Constantin Abarbieritei

Division Vice President, International Economic Growth

Constantin Abarbieritei, leader of the International Economic Growth division, is a specialist in financial sector development. He is a member of the Management Advisory Group.

His expertise is widely recognized by USAID, the World Bank, and other international donor institutions. He has extensive experience working with companies and government agencies in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia to structure investment transactions, promote financial and private sector development, and help design and implement economic development programs.

Abarbieritei joined Abt Associates in 2006 when it acquired the IBM International Public Sector Group, which he had led. Prior to that, he helped establish Price Waterhouse's Corporate Finance unit in Russia, where he managed a number of mergers and acquisitions projects. He speaks Romanian, French, Italian, German, and Russian.

He is a graduate of the Yale University School of Management with a concentration in finance, and of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania.
