Garett Presson is responsible for all of Abt Associates’ Enterprise Global Platforms and Applications, comprised of CRM, ERP, HR, Operational Analytics and other associated business solutions.

Presson has more than 20 years of IT strategy and delivery experience – much of it with Fortune 500 firms – and 15 years in corporate positions of progressive responsibility. He has focused on IT strategy, technology transformations, program management, systems architecture design and management of information technology and related resources. He has served as a chief technology officer and in other senior leadership roles for companies of all sizes leading large IT programs and technology transformations.

Prior to joining Abt, Presson provided leadership and guidance to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) clients as he helped them define and manage their strategic technology transformation initiatives. His accomplishments ranged from developing an IT strategy that connected nine international manufacturing companies to leading the ERP strategy assessment for an $18 billion global paper and packaging company.

From 2012 to 2015, Presson was chief technology officer for financial services firm BAI. There, he directed the strategy, planning, and execution of all technology programs, initiatives and operations while leading the company’s IT organization.

In 2008, Presson joined GATX and served the global railcar leasing company as IT senior director. In that position, he led the strategic vision, implementation and management of front-office technical solutions for the Commercial & Sales IT department.

Presson began his career at PwC (then Price Waterhouse) in 1996 and moved to consulting firm Deloitte in 1998 before joining Lockheed Martin in 2001 as an IT Senior Manager.

Presson holds a B.A. in political science with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Denver-Daniels College of Business.
