Mike Conti Mike Conti

Mike Conti leads the Environment & Resources division and manages an interdisciplinary, international team in Bethesda and Cambridge and in project offices in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. He is a member of the Management Advisory Group.

Conti has contributed to a wide variety of national and international environmental projects since joining the company in 1986. He has served as senior advisor for projects related to global warming, toxic-substances control, pesticide control, clean water, clean air, and solid and hazardous waste.

Internationally, Conti has advised foreign governments and entities on environmental policy, regulatory, and institutional issues. Examples include his work with the governments of El Salvador and Peru on topics ranging from natural-resource management to clean energy production; Russia, on the elimination of lead from gasoline; and Egypt, on strengthened solid-waste management in Cairo.

Before coming to Abt Associates, Conti served in leadership positions at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Policy Analysis and Office of Toxic Substances; was a legislative analyst for the U.S. Senate Governmental Affairs Committee; served as an auditor with the U.S. General Accounting Office; and was a research analyst for the President's Commission on Three Mile Island.

He holds a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame and an M.P.A. in Quantitative Analysis and Economics from Pennsylvania State University.
