Nicholas Piccirillo

Vice President, Government Accounting & Compliance

Nicholas M. Piccirillo provides strategic execution of corporate-wide internal programs and processes to improve government accounting compliance.

Piccirillo developed and leads the company's Compliance Department and reports to the Chief Financial Officer and the Board of Directors Audit Committee. He has designed audit practices, introduced improved control methodologies, ensured compliance with all government contracting and regulatory requirements, reduced outstanding receivables, developed employee-awareness training programs, worked with subcontractors and government agencies, and pioneered innovative new internal control programs.

Before coming to Abt Associates in 1998, Piccirillo was government accounting manager at The Analytic Sciences Corporation (TASC). There his scope of responsibilities included communicating with government auditors and inspectors during all audits, reviews, surveys, inspections, and floor checks; coordinating government data and information requests; and providing responses and documented support in accordance with written policy and guidelines.

Previously, he was an accounting supervisor at the UNISYS Corporation, a budget analyst at the Avco Corporation, and a cost proposal/budget analyst at the Raytheon Company.

Piccirillo holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bentley College.
