Theodore Hammett, Ph.D.

Vice President, Health Policy & Systems

Theodore (Ted) Hammett, Ph.D., began his career at Abt Associates in 1979, after several years of teaching college history and serving for a year as Assistant Director of the Massachusetts Superior Court Records Project.

Now an internationally recognized expert in HIV/AIDS, Hammett has performed public policy research and analyses related to public health and criminal justice issues. Since 1985, he has focused on HIV/AIDS-related projects, domestically and internationally, including research among drug-involved, correctional and prison, and other at-risk populations. Hammett currently serves as Chief of Party for the Health Policy Initiative in Vietnam.

Hammett holds a Ph.D. from Brandeis University.
