Abt Associates: Bold thinkers driving real-world impact

Vietnam has made significant strides toward controlling avian influenza, improving food safety, and reducing the risk of disease transmission with the help of an Abt Associates-led project.
The Avian and Pandemic Influenza Initiative (USAID/APII) project, funded by USAID, has strengthened the capacity of the Vietnamese government and its counterparts to identify, prevent, and control outbreaks of avian influenza and other emerging infectious diseases in both humans and animals. The project ran from 2009 to 2013.
