BETHESDA, MD—Helping coastal communities address complex issues and thrive in the face of significant natural and economic risks is a priority for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Coastal Services Center (CSC). To address these challenges, the CSC has awarded Abt Associates a Blanket Purchase Agreement valued up to $9.9 million.
Under the award, Abt, the company’s survey research arm Abt SRBI, and other team members will provide CSC with high-quality social science expertise, strategic planning, and public participation and communication capabilities to help local, state and national organizations.
“Coastal communities face a broad range of challenges,” said Mike Conti, vice president for Abt’s Environment and Resources Division. “We look forward to bringing Abt’s cross-disciplinary approach to address complex issues.”
Abt Associates’ Eloise Castillo will serve as project director.
