Abt Associates: Bold thinkers driving real-world impact
Last week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its partner, the National Environmental Education Foundation, introduced “Climate Change in Focus,” a video contest for middle school students. The contest, which runs through March 10, challenges students ages 11 -14, to create a short video (30 - 120 seconds) explaining why they care about climate change and what they are doing to reduce carbon pollution or prepare for the impacts of climate change. Information on the contest is described on the “Climate Change in Focus” contest page, which was developed by Abt Associates.
"This is an exciting project for students,” said Lisa Mayo, senior communications specialist in Abt’s Environment & Resources Division and manager of the Climate Change in Focus project. “It is not only an opportunity for them to learn more about climate change, but to share the steps they are taking to do something about it.”
