The theme of this 35th Global Health Council Annual International Conference was community health. Abt Associates was a conference sponsor at the Gold Level and staff members were available in the exhibition hall. For information about the conference visit www.globalhealth.org.

On Tuesday, May 27 Abt Associates' Private Sector Health Practice hosted a reception with private sector leaders in community health at which experts from the field of international health shared and exchanged experiences in collaborating with the private sector to improve community health in developing countries. Refreshments were served and all conference attendees were welcome.

USAID's Private Sector Partnerships One Project (PSP-One) hosted an Auxiliary Session on Tuesday, May 27, The Private Sector: An Essential Resource for Community Health. This expert panel showcased a range of examples of how the for-profit sector can be a key partner in providing health information, products and services to even the poorest communities in the developing world.
