Abt Associates has the full range of policy and content knowledge, evaluation methods, and analytic tools necessary to provide valid and reliable evidence to improve science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and training programs and policies. Abt has successfully completed experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation designs to assess the effectiveness of STEM education and training programs in a range of settings including informal, K-12, and higher education.
Abt has worked with the nation’s leading funder of STEM innovation, the National Science Foundation (NSF), to support improvement and access to professional training in STEM disciplines and delivery of STEM education through evaluations of key program initiatives.
Abt provides technical support to networks of professionals working to develop and implement new instructional and professional development innovations in STEM across the K-12 system through programs at NSF and the U.S. Department of Education.
Abt also provides comprehensive formative and summative evaluation services to individual projects aimed at improving student and teacher STEM learning and pedagogical practices.
