Changing behavior to improve health
Abt uses strategic health communication to promote healthy behaviors.
We improve knowledge, shift attitudes, and help people adopt practices that prevent or minimize disease. We also advocate for social and policy change to strengthen the enabling environment and shift social norms to support health behaviors.
We have developed product-specific and generic behavior change communication campaigns in over 25 countries. They have focused on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, reproductive health/family planning, contraceptive security, safe water, sanitation, and avian influenza.
