UNITED STATES: What do we really know about intimate partner violence?
For years, policy makers and organizations serving victims of intimate partner violence have relied on studies that are decades old. And those studies did very little to shed light on the magnitude and characteristics of intimate partner violence on both a state and national level. To address this, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have turned to Abt Associates and Abt SRBI to field one of the most comprehensive surveys ever conducted in the field of intimate partner violence, sexual violence and stalking. Using innovative methodology and deep experience doing large-scale health surveys, Abt will give policy makers and the public the insights necessary to take action to address this lifethreatening problem.
