Abt Associates: Bold thinkers driving real-world impact
This evaluation for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) provided policy makers with important information about the role of child care subsidy programs and policies in helping low-income families obtain and retain work and improve outcomes for their children. The study, conducted by Abt Associates, examined how differences in certain aspects of child care subsidy programs or policies are related to outcomes for parents, children, and child care providers/caregivers. Outcomes included the stability of parental employment and earnings, parent and child well-being, availability of care, and child care quality.
