Abt Associates: Bold thinkers driving real-world impact
LearningGames is an early childhood education program designed to promote children’s cognitive and language development through game-like interactions provided by their caregivers. This two-year evaluation of LearningGames was one of four state experiments included in the Evaluation of Child Care Subsidy Strategies, a study that examined the impact of different child care subsidy policies and quality improvement efforts on parents, children, and child care providers. Abt Associates conducted the study in partnership with MDRC, a social policy and research organization, and the National Center for Children in Poverty at Columbia University, with funding from the Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
