Abt supports the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Prevention’s (CSAP’s) Health Communications and Marketing contract, which focuses on development of prevention-related content for all communication platforms (print, Web, social media, multi-media) to meet the needs of targeted audiences; program support for internal and external partnerships/collaborations with federal-, national-, and state-level entities; and outreach to intermediaries to reach CSAP’s priority audiences. Abt and its partners manage the strategic planning and implementation of these efforts. Core activities for the contract include materials development and design of print products including the Top Issues for LGBT Population Information & Resource Kit, and video products including SAMHSA Prevention Day Voices of Prevention Grantee videos; developing and updating multimedia content for the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA’s) “Target America” traveling exhibit; and planning and implementing National Health Observances, including National Prevention Week 2012.
