Abt Associates Names New Vice Presidents

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Abt Associates today named Stephen Bell, Rodolfo Camacho, Susan Mitchell, Janet Rosenbaum and Cindy Taylor to the position of Vice President.
 
"We are very pleased to recognize these exceptional leaders, who have such strong reputations in their respective fields,” said Abt Associates President and CEO Kathleen Flanagan. “They exemplify our mission to improve the quality of life and economic well-being of people worldwide.”
 
Stephen Bell, Ph.D., an expert in evaluating the effectiveness of social programs, has been named a vice president in Abt’s Social and Economic Policy Division. Bell, who has authored numerous papers advancing scientific methods for using random assignment to measure program impacts, is an Abt Senior Fellow.
 
Rodolfo Camacho, Ph.D., has been named vice president in the company’s International Economic Growth Division. Camacho oversees business development in the division, with a focus on climate change. He has more than 25 years of experience working on environmental protection, water resources management, and climate change.
 
Susan Mitchell was named a vice president in Abt’s International Health Division. Mitchell, an expert in private sector health in developing countries, leads Strengthening Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS), USAID’s $95 million five-year project in private sector health. She has more than 20 years of experience in the management of USAID-funded health projects and has held senior management positions in four flagship USAID private sector projects.
 
Janet Rosenbaum, who has nearly 20 years in guiding teams to produce winning proposals, has been named vice president of Abt’s Global Business Development Unit, where she oversees a centralized business development organization and leads the implementation of company-wide business development best practices.
 
Cindy Taylor, Ph.D., who has more than 20 years of experience conducting and overseeing research and evaluation on programs and policies affecting children and families, was named vice president in Abt’s Social and Economic Policy Division.
