Half of all children in rural Tanzania suffer from stunted growth or anemia—or both. The Abt Associates-led, USAID-funded Tuboreshe Chakula – Swahili for “Let’s Improve Food” – project is pioneering market-led food fortification for the Tanzanian government to help reduce malnutrition in children and other vulnerable groups in remote regions.
