Abt Associates at the 2017 AcademyHealth Research Meeting
Abt Associates experts are leading discussions and giving a number of oral and poster presentations at AcademyHealth’s 2017 Annual Research Meeting, held from June 25-27 in New Orleans, La. The meeting is a chance to share important findings and move research into action to improve health and health care.
Abt staff will talk about their research on, among other things:
- What supports sustainability in health care innovations;
- Achieving a balance between primary care work and the related workforce; and
- The impact of enhanced critical care training and 24/7 tele-ICU support on Medicare spending.
“We at Abt are working to improve the body of knowledge on and delivery of health care on several fronts,” said Terry Moore, vice president for Health Policy at Abt Associates. “These include putting safer opioid prescribing policies into use, evaluating Health Care Innovation Awards, and examining whether or not Medicare’s home health prospective payment system over-incentivizes therapy visits.
