Emerging Markets for U.S. Smart Grid Suppliers and Investors in Africa, Asia and Latin America


Abt’s Mikell O’Mealy will moderate and Nadia Scharen-Guivel will present at the Emerging Markets for U.S. Smart Grid Suppliers and Investors in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, a forum hosted by USAID. This free, half-day event will take place in Washington, D.C. on January 9, 2019 at Concourse McFadden USAID Conference Center, 555 12th Street, Washington D.C.
The forum will focus on market opportunities in developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America for U.S. companies that provide smart grid and mini-grid products and services. Topics may include grid modernization and flexibility, integration of renewables, smart transmission and distribution, mini-grids, and energy storage. It will also highlight opportunities for finance and investment and facilitate networking of suppliers, potential buyers, finance sources, and development partners.

The forum is organized by the USAID-funded Climate Economic Analysis for Development, Investment and Resilience (CEADIR) Activity, implemented by Crown Agents-USA and Abt Associates in conjunction with the Sharing Environment and Energy Knowledge (SEEK) Activity implemented by Training Resources Group, Inc.
