A safe, affordable place to call home is universally considered to be a basic human right. The positive implications of having a roof over one’s head are plentiful, ranging from better health to greater economic opportunity. Still, last year, more than half a million Americans were homeless or unsheltered on any given night.
Abt’s Dr. Jill Khadduri will sit down with Nan Roman, President & CEO, National Alliance to End Homelessness, Laura Zeilinger, Director, DC Department of Human Services, and Rafael Bernal, Staff Writer, The Hill for a conversation addressing how policymakers, support services, and affordable housing initiatives can help struggling Americans transition to housing security. The event is sponsored by The Hill Events and Wells Fargo.
