The USAID Private Health Sector Program ([PHSP] 2009 – 2014) is a follow-on to the five-year Private Sector Program in Ethiopia; both projects have been funded by PEPFAR through USAID. The two successive projects have implemented mobile HIV counseling and testing (MHCT) services since 2007. The objective of the MHCT activity is to reach populations most at risk of HIV transmission, who may not be accessing facility-based services, with quality counseling, testing and referral services.
