CapacityPlus, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal Ministry of Education, conducted this study to estimate the cost of educating nurses and midwives at two schools: the University of Gondar College of Health Sciences and Arba Minch College of Medicine and Health Sciences. This groundbreaking costing exercise is part of the US Government’s Nursing Education Partnership Initiative (NEPI), which aims to strengthen nursing and midwifery education systems in sub-Saharan Africa in order to increase access to quality health care in the region.
