This analysis investigated the level of availability of basic and essential services in health facilities, and the extent of preparedness of the facilities to provide quality health services in each of the seven provinces of Nepal. It revealed that, among provinces, major gaps exist in the availability of:

  • Diagnostic services in health posts.
  • Key essential medicines for child health services.
  • Guidelines, equipment, and essential medicines to antenatal care service providers.
