USAID’s Health Finance and Governance (HFG) project will improve health in developing countries by expanding people’s access to health care. Led by Abt Associates, the project team will work with partner countries to increase their domestic resources for health, manage those precious resources more effectively, and make wise purchasing decisions.

The HFG project has been tasked with supporting six states and territories in India, particularly the Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A) initiative's high-priority districts, to strengthen the domains of health finance, human resources for health and health information systems (HIS)

The HFG India Health Information System (HIS) team worked with the Haryana National Health Mission (NHM) team to evaluate the quality and usage of data across the state. The data quality assessment exercise led to a series of recommendations that are now being jointly implemented by NHM and HFG India.
