In Response: Public-Housing Story Was Uncritically Rah-Rah

DULUTH NEWS TRIBUNE: A new article critiques the Moving to Work program, which would “require those in public housing who are not disabled to work, go to school, or participate in an activity to better themselves for 15 hours/week.” Abt’s October 2017 evaluation of MTW is mentioned, as it found that MTW agencies shifted more than $600 million away from housing programs, resulting in nearly 60,000 families being denied housing vouchers.
