Abt to Continue Providing NRDA, Oil Spill Response, and Marine Debris Research for NOAA Under $39M Blanket Purchase Agreement

Rockville, Md.  –  Abt Associates is pleased to announce that the company is one of two awardees for the NOAA Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) recompete. Through the five-year, $39 million BPA, Abt will continue to provide NOAA with NRDA, oil spill response, and marine debris research support services.

Under previous iterations of this contract vehicle, Abt:

  • Conducted groundbreaking work assessing the impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
  • Delivered a recently published analysis of the economic impact of marine debris on beaches.
  • Coordinated NOAA’s Field Assessment and Science Techniques (FAST) program.
