Abt to Help Modernize HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau Through New $1.1m Contract

Rockville, Md.  –  Working closely with the leadership and staff of the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) $1.3 billion Title V, Abt Associates will help the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) finalize and operationalize its 15-year strategic plan while improving health equity. The award of this new task order is Abt’s latest avenue for strengthening the lives of women, children, and families.

Abt will serve as a strategic advisor for MCHB, which includes Title V, the nation’s longest-standing public health program. The work includes developing strategies to transform the organization. Abt will coordinate with other federal agencies, develop the implementation plan, and identify the metrics to be used to measure progress. The $1.1 million contract spans two years.

“Abt’s forward-looking, data-driven approach to healthcare is ideally suited to meeting the Maternal and Child Health Bureau’s needs,” said Dr. Christopher Spera, division vice president, Health & Environment. “We’ve assembled a great team to help shape the future of U.S. maternal and child healthcare.”
