Jacqui de Lacy, Managing Director, Abt Australia, Joins Chief Executive Women

Brisbane, Australia – Jacqui De Lacy, the managing director of Abt Associates Australia, has been invited to join Chief Executive Women (CEW), Australia’s preeminent organization dedicated to educating and influencing all levels of Australian business and government on the importance of gender balance. CEW represents more than 560 of Australia’s most senior and distinguished women leaders.

Long an advocate for promoting women in the workplace and removing barriers to their progression and success, De Lacy has been a driver of diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiatives across the Abt Australia business. She has made D&I a strategic priority for her executive team since being appointed MD.

De Lacy, who joined Abt Associates in 2014, has been instrumental in growing the revenue of the Australia office, and she played a key role in expanding Abt’s reputation and capabilities in the Asia Pacific market. Prior to joining Abt, she was one of the most senior government officials working in international development, leading programs in the field and major functions, including the budget section, for AusAID in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

“Jacqui De Lacy is a champion for gender equality across the company, not just in our Australia office,” said Abt Associates President and CEO Kathleen Flanagan. “We’re delighted that CEW has recognized Jacqui for her commitment to, and leadership in, promoting the advancement of women and ensuring equal opportunity among female and male staff.”

De Lacy is recognized as a thought leader on development in Australia and is often called upon to participate in public events focused on development issues. She is a member of the board of UNICEF Australia.
