Survey Research Expert and Abt VP Ricki Jarmon Elected AAPOR’s Councilor-at-Large
Rockville, Md. – Abt Associates announced today that Vice President & Principal Associate Ricki Jarmon has been elected Councilor-at-Large on the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) Executive Council.
Jarmon has more than 30 years of experience in survey research for U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Labor, Food and Nutrition Service, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Social Security Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Administration for Children and Families. His areas of expertise include mixed-mode data collection, random digit dial, random assignment, address-based sampling, and list sample surveys. He also has extensive experience with child assessment, observational studies, and hard-to-locate populations.

Jarmon oversees Abt’s portfolio of survey and data collection projects and has provided methodological support for more than 100 projects during his tenure with Abt. He has worked on several key technology initiatives, including “virtual call center” interviewing and the very first tablet data collection on the American National Election study.
