Devona Overton is a seasoned communications professional with more than 20 years of experience developing and managing large-scale national public education and awareness campaigns. Overton is serving as a senior strategist for Abt communications projects.
Overton has worked with federal leadership on a multitude of campaigns for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Food and Drug Administration, Environmental Protection Agency and major corporations.
Prior to joining Abt, Overton was a program director at ICF International. While there, she developed and managed campaigns to inform diverse populations about issues such as adult immunization, HIV and AIDS, substance abuse prevention, obesity, diabetes, cancer, smoking cessation, hypertension, health disparities, and women’s and children’s health.
