Glen Schneider has more than 25 years of experience supporting policy and program studies in workforce development, training and workplace education. He is responsible for directing and supporting the execution of studies that aim to facilitate the transition of low-income populations from training and education to the workplace. He has made significant contributions to the implementation of large random assignment-based evaluations.
Schneider is a member of the team supporting the implementation of impact evaluations of several Department of Labor (DOL) initiatives including the Reemployment Eligibility Assistance program and the Enhanced Transitional Jobs Demonstration. In a similar capacity he is working with the Administration for Children and Families’ evaluation of its Health Profession Opportunity Grants program and ob Search Assistance initiative. Collectively, these studies focus on the employment and economic success of at-risk and/or low-income populations, including ex-offenders, noncustodial parents, recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and unemployment insurance claimants. As part of his DOL work, Schneider also directs a project to examine the role of technology-based learning in supporting the delivery of WIA/WIOA services with an emphasis on occupational training, adult basic education, career readiness training and job search.
