Melinda S. Williams, vice president of strategic communications, joined Abt Associates in 2010 as director of marketing. In this role, she developed and manages the corporate brand strategy, including marketing and promotional activities to advance the company’s reputational capital.
Williams is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in developing and managing a full scope of marketing activities, advertising and communication programs, corporate marketing events and promotion. Prior to Abt, Williams served as a branding and communications consultant for AED (now FHI 360), where she provided strategic and tactical support for the internal and external rollout of the new branding program for the organization.
Williams has served in a number of positions including marketing and event consultant for the Aga Khan Foundation, director of marketing & business development for Hughes Design Associates, as well as a number of senior marketing and account supervisor roles across multiple disciplines of advertising, public relations and event management.
