Vice President, Contracts and Procurement

Lisa Ashcraft, an accomplished contracts and procurement executive, heads Abt Associates’ Contracts and Procurement Department. As vice president of contracts and procurement, she is the senior executive responsible for overseeing all company matters related to contracts, subcontracts, procurement, consultants and small business programs to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers for the U.S. government and an international customer base. 

She has more than 35 years of experience in federal government contracts and procurement, including work for Martin Marietta, SAIC, CSC, Honeywell and Intelsat. She also has extensive experience working with federal civilian agencies, as well as with the U.S. Department of Defense, intelligence community clients, NATO, foreign governments and commercial clients. At Intelsat General Corporation, Ashcraft was the head of contracts and procurement, building a contracts and procurement organization that supported a business that grew from $90 million to $480 million over seven years.

She has been a panel speaker for the Professional Services Council, for U.S. Agency for International Development, a radio talk show host on The Washington/MD Business Hour, a guest speaker before the chapter of American Women in Computing at Johns Hopkins University, and a guest speaker for the Defense Contract Management Agency at the Small Business Conference.

Ashcraft is a charter member of NCMA Freestate Chapter (Maryland), member of the Professional Services Council, and board member and past regional vice president of Reach Out and Read of Metro DC. She is also passionate about her support to the Fisher House Foundation.
