Abt Associates conducts rigorous research on national and local education policies to improve the educational outcomes of youth and adults.
Abt uses the most advanced methodologies to provide policymakers, education professionals, and the general public with an objective and rigorous assessment of the effectiveness and value of education programs.
Abt conducts evaluation studies across the entire continuum of education – from early childhood to graduate education – with a particular emphasis on disadvantaged and under-represented students. We are a national leader in research and evaluation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and policy, and have been conducting early childhood and K-12 evaluations for decades.
Abt is also a leader in the development and testing of new methods for evaluating educational programs and in providing technical assistance to local evaluators to ensure that their studies meet the highest standards of scientific evidence.
Abt’s research informs program and policy decisions at the U.S. Department of Education, the Administration for Children and Families at HHS, the National Science Foundation, NASA, and other agencies and organizations at the federal, state and local levels.
