USAID has awarded Abt Associates and partner FHI are carrying out a major project in Mozambique — the Clinical HIV/AIDS Services Strengthening Project in Sofala, Manica and Tete provinces. This five-year project, funded by USAID, will improve HIV clinical services within a strengthened, comprehensive primary health care system. - Creating stronger and more sustainable Mozambican systems and institutions
- Enhancing program linkages and integration to provide a continuum of accessible services including maternal and child health and reproductive health services, within facilities and between facility and community-based services
- Improving service quality in six important areas: HIV counseling and testing, laboratory services, prevention of mother-to-child transmission, adult care and treatment, pediatric care and treatment, and the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV-TB co-infection
