US country page quote

Abt is all about improving people’s lives, and we’ve been doing that in the U.S. for more than 50 years through groundbreaking work in health, homelessness, education and the environment. We’ve applied that same commitment to our international projects and bring the best of what we’ve learned in the U.S. to our work overseas and vice versa.

In the U.S.

Every day, we tackle some of America’s greatest challenges. Working with a range of clients, we are involved in everything from investigating the opioid epidemic for federal, state and local agencies to determining which types of housing and services interventions work best for homeless families. Our evaluations of innovative workforce and education programs are informing national policy, and Abt scientists played a major role in assessing the impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and the actions needed to restore the environment.

Working Overseas

Our staff move easily between U.S. and international projects.  We bring deep capabilities in research, monitoring and evaluation; data science; technical assistance and implementation and communications and behavior change to address complex issues in more than 50 countries. They include global health security, health systems strengthening, climate resilience, energy, food security and agriculture and governance.
